Tyvek® IsoClean® garments vs. reusable garments in cleanrooms
Contamination control with DuPont™ Tyvek® Cleanroom Garments
DuPont™ Tyvek® and DuPont™ Tyvek® IsoClean® help offer excellent safety, comfort and protection against contamination, in the most demanding controlled environments, to keep your processes and products clean and safe.
Made of Tyvek®
Manufactured by DuPont, made of continuous strong fibers of pure high-density polyethylene, Tyvek® is low linting and free of inherent contaminants that could represent a risk in critical environments. Moreover, because it is halogen free, uncontaminated garments made of Tyvek® can be disposed of using standard processes. DuPont garments and accessories are produced according to extremely high levels of quality, comfort, durability, breathability and protection to address customers’ requirements.
Single Use
In cleanroom environments it is important to protect the product and process from human contamination. An ideal way of protecting both the worker and the process is through the use of single-use clothing with a proven and documented barrier protection provided for each use. Depending on the needs one can decide on suitable protective clothing.
DuPont™ Tyvek® IsoClean® for Controlled Environments
Clean-processed & sterile Tyvek® IsoClean® garments and accessories offer the highest level of contamination control and are an ideal balance of protection, durability , comfort and cleanliness. They are sterilized by gamma irradiation, specially processed and packed to minimize particle shedding and aid aseptic donning for better sterility risk management, while being suitable for cleanrooms GMP A&B (ISO 4/5, CLASS 10/100).
Depending on the model features and cleanroom conditions, non-sterilized garments made of Tyvek® and Tyvek® IsoClean® are suitable for use in many cleanroom classes, typically GMP C&D (ISO 7/8, CLASS 10,000/100,000). Discover Tyvek® IsoClean® range
Workers who deal with hazardous substances need confidence in their protective apparel. DuPont™ Tyvek® fabric used in Tyvek® protective apparel is engineered to typically resist particles down to 1 micron in size, including particles such as lead, asbestos, and mould, and helps provide a barrier against many water-based liquid chemicals in low concentration and biological hazards.
Tyvek® IsoClean® Garments
DuPont introduced a new CE certified Tyvek® IsoClean® portfolio of garments and accessories to answer the most demanding cleanroom requirements. Tyvek® IsoClean® represents the lowest particle shedding within the DuPont portfolio and is offered in sterile and non-sterile versions and in different packaging options.
Touch any garment from the comprehensive DuPont ™ Tyvek® product range and you immediately notice the difference. Antistatically-treated Tyvek® is a unique and versatile material that is tough and exceptionally low-linting, yet extremely light and soft. It is permeable to air and water vapour, yet repels water-based liquids and aerosols, as well as fine particles and fibres.
In addition to providing product protection, Tyvek® and Tychem® also meet the requirements of Category III for personal protection from chemicals.
